Super Sunday with 2 easy cricket winners
29/12/2008
New Zealand trounced the West Indies and Victoria humiliated Tasmania as BetBuddha members cashed in on another big day of cricket winners.
BetBuddha’s cricket analysts were confident that New Zealand would have too much power-hitting for the west Indies in their second 20/20 clash, and this proved right on the money as openers Brendon McCullum and Jesse Ryder put on a 130 run opening stand to set up New Zealand’s 36 run win.
Victoria’s David Hussey hit a remarkable 100 N.O off just 47 balls as Victoria posted a huge 5/203 off their 20 overs, and dismissed Tasmania for just 168 to win comfortably at Bellerive Oval.
New Zealand were a 2.5 Buddha selection and paid $1.85 for the win and Victoria a confident 3 Buddha selection and paid $1.60 as members made a huge profit on what was a Super Sunday!
Penrickson breaks another record as members break the bookies!
28/12/2008
BetBuddha’s racing analysts have been on fire recently, with Penrickson winning easily for members on Saturday at Rosehill paying $3.10 for the win.
Penrickson’s win comes on top of Royal Esprit’s second placing the week before, and Rock Me Baby’s dominant win two weeks ago at $3.30.
Graeme Rogerson’s 5 year old gelding established the Rosehill class record over 1800m on Saturday, with apprentice jockey Peter Wells enjoying an easy front-running display to put his rivals to the sword.
BetBuddha members who were on course at Rosehill could have got as much as $3.50 for the win, with the early favourite drifting in betting when the markets opened before finding some support late to start at $3.10.
Spearhead Steyn bowls over Ntini
27/12/2008
South African strike bowler Dale Steyn was back to his best in the second test against Australia and BetBuddha members profited, backing the quick to take more wickets than his opening-bowling counterpart Makhaya Ntini at $1.80.
BetBuddha’s cricket analysts expected Steyn to find his rhythm in the second test and the big paceman did, bowling unluckily in the first session on boxing day after beating the bat on many occasions and having Australian captain Ricky Ponting dropped just before lunch.
The Proteas paceman came back after lunch hungry for wickets, and quickly captured in-form Simon Katich, before removing Michael Hussey in the next over. Steyn finished the match with figures of 5-87, while Ntini could only claim 2-108.
This was the second win BetBuddha members have enjoyed on South Africa this summer, after backing the tourists leading into day 5 of the first test at $2.50.

BetBuddha’s growing legion of fans are making money, and couldn’t be happier. This is an email BetBuddha received from Kevin recently
“I have been subscribing to BetBuddha since March this year and have made a net profit of just over $3000, which is great considering I am not what you would call a big punter. For me a one Buddha bet is $100 and a two Buddha is $200 as I stick to the Buddha staking plan.
The Buddha boys obviously do their homework and it is easy to see they have a thorough knowledge of how to find good value bets. By following the Buddha precisely I have managed to make a nice tax free earn and now feel confident I can increase the size of my bets.
My BetBuddha subscription is the smartest bet I've ever made.
Cheers Kevin.”
Members raise their wallets to South Africa
22/12/2008
BetBuddha’s cricket analysts made it 10 winners from 12 selections this Summer, backing South Africa leading into day 5 of the first test at $2.50 to defeat Australia.
BetBuddha were confident that South Africa could create history and chase down the improbable target of 414 runs, and thought the $2.50 on offer for a Proteas win was good value leading into the final day.
With Graeme Smith and Hashim Amla having already contributed to South Africa’s run chase, it was up to the less-experienced AB de Villiers and JP Duminy to score the remaining runs, after Jacques Kallis was out early in the first session of the day.
BetBuddha members watched on in delight as South Africa set about their total in a professional manner, with de Villiers leading the charge with a glorious 106 N.O and Duminy 50 N.O to put the Proteas on the front foot and set up the Proteas with a decisive 1-0 series lead.

BetBuddha back India on Day 5 for remarkable win!
15/12/2008
BetBuddha’s cricket analysts were confident that India’s batting line-up could surpass England’s lead of 387 going into the final day of the first test, and India delivered for members paying $2.50 for the win going into Day 5.
India performed well below par in the first innings against England, scoring just 241, however they made up for this display in the second innings, reaching the required total of 387 with 20 overs to go and 6 wickets in hand. It was the fourth highest run chase in test cricket history.
Betting ‘live’ in matches is not easy, but BetBuddha’s analysts timed the bet to perfection, waiting for the odds on the Indians to drift out after being set a huge target by the visitors. The $2.50 that was on offer for the Indians to win the match after Virender Sehwag had got the chase off to a good start was a smart bet, with Sachin Tendulkar starring with the bat and being supported by Singh and Laxman.
BetBuddha’s cricket analysts have now given members 9 winners from their last 11 selections!

Bumper Wednesday for members
4/12/2008
It was a bumper Wednesday for BetBuddha members as the QLD Bulls rolled the SA Redbacks in the Ford Ranger Cup, and the South Dragons crushed the Wollongong Hawks in the NBL, easily covering the 5.5 point handicap.
BetBuddha’s cricket analysts thought the QLD Bulls would be too strong for the SA Redbacks in the limited over clash, and they were spot on with QLD cruising to a comfortable bonus point victory in a rain-affected match.
With the likes of James Hopes and Shane Watson providing plenty of all-round strikepower for the Bulls, they were always going to be too classy for the struggling Redbacks, and the $1.65 that was on offer from the bookmakers was snapped up by BetBuddha’s growing legion of supporters.
BetBuddha’s cricket analysts have now given members 8 winners from their last 10 selections!
Don’t miss out on plenty of cricket winners throughout the Summer.
Why not try BetBuddha today for just $105 for 3 months access to all BetBuddha’s winners?
In the NBL, the South Dragons travelled to Wollongong to take on the Hawks and BetBuddha’s basketball analysts instructed members to jump on the Dragons to cover the skinny 5.5 point handicap at $1.90.
Members never had to worry about their money in the match, with the Dragons leading at every interval and at one point held an astonishing 42 point lead!
The Dragons went on to win the match 112-78, easily covering the 5.5 point handicap and hold onto 2nd place on the NBL ladder.

Members raid bookies in big Tigers win
30/11/2008
BetBuddha members backed the Melbourne Tigers heavily in their comprehensive victory over the Perth Wildcats on the weekend; with the opening price of $1.70 for the Tigers win being shortened substantially by the bookies before the bounce.
BetBuddha’s basketball analysts believed the Tigers would bounce back to form after their last start loss to the Townville Crocs, and the Tigers did, overcoming the loss of star Sam Mackinnon to power to a 108-95 win.
BetBuddha members plunged on the Tigers once the prophecy was sent to it’s growing legion of fans, with the opening price of $1.70 being crunched into $1.55 with some leading bookmakers prior to the bounce.
The Tigers started the match slowly and trailed by 7 at the break to the Wildcats, but then clicked into gear to be leading at half time 44-40 and went into the final break up by 12 points, before winning 108-95.

Victoria confirm favouritism for Shield title
25/11/2008
The Victorian Bushrangers crushed the Western Australia Warriors in their Sheffield Shield match at the WACA, confirming their favouritism to win the Shield with an emphatic 6 wicket victory.
BetBuddha members were advised to back Victoria in the 4 day match, with members being told in the pre-match analysis that WA’s pace outfit would not be as destructive as Victoria’s, with both teams boasting impressive batting line ups.
In a bizarre scenario to start the match, Victoria won the toss and elected to bowl first, with opening bowler Dirk Nannes being removed from the attack by umpire AR Craig under law 42 after bowling three consecutive full tosses (One claiming the wicket of SE Marsh and two at the head of LA Pomersbach). Nannes was unable to bowl again in the Western Australia first innings.
Victoria dismissed the hosts for 239, and made 326 in reply thanks to an outstanding century to Chris Rogers, who scored 115 from 132 balls. As bookmakers were paying on first innings points, BetBuddha members were toasting their Victorian dominance with a cold Crown Lager, whilst urging the Victorians on to dominate the match and go for outright points.
With Victoria taking first innings points, WA batted well in their second innings to declare at 8-404, leaving the Victorians 318 to chase for outright points.
Man of the match Chris Rogers continued his good first innings form to guide the Victorians to victory, scoring an unbeaten 147 in overcoming WA’s total in just 72 overs. Victoria finished the innings at 4-321.
After the dominant win, Betfair have tightened Victoria as favourites to win the 2008-2009 Sheffield Shield title. Victoria are now at $2.62 to take the prestigious trophy, with Queensland on the next line of betting at $3.15 and WA at $4.50.

No Wasted Emotions for members!
16/11/08
6 year old gelding Wasted Emotions saluted for BetBuddha members in the last race of the day at Rosehill on the weekend, paying $4.60 for the win.
BetBuddha’s racing analysts have been on the mark at Rosehill recently, tipping Wasted Emotions at $4.60 on Saturday on top of Theophorus two weeks ago at $2.50.
Trainer Danny Williams’s honest gelding held a 2 length break on the field going into the home turn, but was quickly challenged by both News Alert and Something Anything at the 300 metre mark. The gelding never gave in though, holding onto win by a neck and give BetBuddha members a huge win.
Cricket winners keep coming
16/11/08
India comprehensively beat England in the first one day match of the series in India on Friday to give BetBuddha members a winning start to the weekend, and Western Australia fought hard to beat South Australia in the Ford Ranger Cup on Sunday to put more money in BetBuddha’s members pockets.
In a bizarre decision by England captain Kevin Pietersen, the skipper won the toss and elected to send India in to bat first. India made Pietersen rue his decision, scoring a massive 5-387, with the dynamic Yuvraj Singh scoring a huge 138 not out.
England in reply made a paltry 229 to be all out in the 37th over. Only skipper Kevin Pietersen threatened the Indian bowlers, with the rest of the batting line up crumbling at the hands of Zahher Khan and Harbajhan Singh.
On Sunday South Australia hosted Western Australia in the Ford Ranger Cup, with SA winning the toss and electing to bat first on a friendly batting wicket.
SA made a handy 6-270 in their 50 overs, with WA missing several chances in the field to let the Redbacks batsmen off the hook.
WA were in trouble early in their chase, being 2-3 in the first over. However WA’s batting depth guided the Sandgropers home, something which BetBuddha’s members alluded to in their pre-match analysis, with skipper Marcus North making a handy 69 and Adam Voges a courageous 104 not out from 119 balls to win the match in the 47th over.
BetBuddha’s cricket analysts are now 6 wins from their last 7 selections. Wouldn’t you like to back winners like these?

India delivers members a huge profit!
11/11/08
BetBuddha members backed India to take back the Border-Gavaskar trophy at $2.20, and were advised to load up with BetBuddha rating it a 4 BUDDHA special.
Members were told through BetBuddha’s cricket analysts that the Australian attack would really struggle, with some of the pre-series review explaining just that:
“Australia have practically no chance of winning this series. Austrlalia simply don't have the bowlers to win…Australia don't have 1 bowler who has played test cricket in India. They only have 2 world class bowlers and there is every chance they will struggle badly at times. Australia doesn't have 1 decent spinner. We expect wickets from both Mitchell Johnson and whoever bowls spin will come at more 45 runs a piece. Simply put you can't win a series in India with Brett Lee and Stuart Clark doing all the work.”
After the first test draw, Australia were never in a winning position in the entire series, with India’s batsmen and spin bowlers dominating the series and putting a stranglehold on the Australian test team.
The once formidable Australian team looked second rate at times throughout the tour, as their batsmen struggled to form lasting partnerships and their bowling attack lacked penetration.
India on the other hand were composed and dominant, with Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir and VVS Laxman making consistent runs and Ishant Sharma and Harbajhan Singh taking proving a handful for the Australian batsmen.
Stay tuned for BetBuddha’s summer cricket review, with our analysts running their eye over the touring New Zealand and South African squads for their Australian tours. Don’t miss it!

World Cup winning weekend
10/11/08
The Rugby League World Cup winners kept on coming for BetBuddha members last weekend, as members jumped on New Zealand to cover the flat 4 handicap against Great Britain, and then doubled up with Samoa covering a very thin 3.5 point handicap against France.
Both New Zealand and Samoa paid $1.90, and added to another winner BetBuddha had already given members last week when Australia easily covered the 16 point handicap in their win against Great Britain.
New Zealand gave Great Britain a 16 point head start in the match as they struggled in the first half, but then piled on five unanswered tries to storm over the top of the hapless Brits, to take the match 36-24.
BetBuddha believed Samoa would overcome their last start shock defeat to Ireland by putting France to the sword, and Samoa did just this, cruising to a comfortable 42-10 win.
Samoa totally dominated the first half to lead 24-0 at the break, as debutant Ben Te’o ran amok around the ruck to score two tries.

Members get behind Australia as Great Britain humiliated
3/11/08
BetBuddha’s first bet on the Rugby League World Cup was an outstanding winner for members, advising them to back the Australians to cover the flat 16 point handicap in their match against Great Britain at the odds of $1.90.
The 16 point start to the hapless Brits was never going to be enough, especially with the likes of Billy Slater, Darren Lockyer and Greg Inglis running riot. Australia had the start covered by halftime, leading comfortably 22-4. By this stage BetBuddha members had kicked their feet up and tucked into their celebratory Crown Lagers.
The second half got even uglier for Great Britain, with Slater and Inglis again dominating off an awesome performance by the Australian pack. Coach Ricky Stuart lauded his team’s performance, by saying “Some of the talent out there tonight was some of the best individual pieces of talent I've seen at this level of football”.
The final 52-4 scoreline probably flattered Great Britain a little, as they were completely outclassed and outplayed.

Theophorus wins easy at $2.50
2/11/08
There was only ever going to be one winner of the fifth race at Rosehill on the weekend and BetBuddha members were on it, when honest galloper Theophorus won in class record time.
The 4 year old gelding had a lovely ride throughout the race and was on the speed as the field when into the turn. When the pressure was applied at the 400 metre mark the big gelding put two lengths on his rivals, to salute at the winning post paying $2.50 for the win.
Theophorus was eased up on the line as he won by over a length, and you get the feeling this promising galloper might have some bigger races to contest over the next few weeks as he broke the class record over 1400 metres in the race.
Members are in the money!
26/10/08
BetBuddha members enjoyed a perfect 4 wins from 4 sporting selections on the weekend, with winners in the NBL, Currie Cup rugby, Ford Ranger Cup Cricket and the Valencia Moto GP.
The weekend started well for members with the WA Warriors winning their Ford Ranger Cup cricket match against Tasmania. The Warriors were installed as $1.65 favourites and in a rain affected match, won by 4 wickets.
On Saturday night the Melbourne Tigers hosted the Townsville Crocodiles in the NBL and BetBuddha members were advised to back the Tigers to cover the 10.5 point handicap. The Tigers dominated the match from the outset, and held on to defeat the fast-finishing Crocodiles 110 - 97.
In the early hours of Sunday morning the Currie Cup final gave members another winner, with BetBuddha’s rugby analysts advising members to back the Sharks to cover the 4.5 point handicap against the Bulls. The Sharks played with passion and skill to win their first Currie Cup title in 12 years, defeating the Bulls
14 -9.
And to cap off BetBuddha members bumper weekend, Casey Stoner took out the last race of the Moto GP season in Valencia in good fashion, paying $2.60 for the win. Stoner started in pole position and rode with confidence throughout the circuit to get BetBuddha members home for a comfortable win.
The Sharks payed $1.90 for the win, the Melbourne Tigers $1.90 for the win, the WA Warriors $1.65 and Casey Stoner $2.60.

WA Warriors get home in a thriller
25/10/08
The WA Warriors got BetBuddha’s members weekend off to a perfect start, defeating the Tasmania Tigers by four wickets to win their Ford Ranger Cup cricket match.
In a rain affected match, WA were set 222 to chase by Tasmania and looked as though they would struggle to make the total when 4-73. However WA might have unearthed a new batting superstar, with little known Theo Doropoulos guiding his team to victory with a clean-striking 92 from just 75 balls.
In a thrilling finish to the game and with rain disrupting play, it was WA who kept their composure to take the victory in the last over of the match.
WA’s remarkable talent meant the $1.65 that was on offer from bookmakers was over the odds, and BetBuddha members acted accordingly, backing the home team to win a small fortune.

Socceroos put more cash in members pockets!
11/9/08
The Socceroos scored a courageous win over Uzbekistan in Tashkent to get their final World Cup qualifying campaign off to a great start and line our members pockets with more cash!
As our soccer experts rightly noted it in posting our pre match analysis for our members to read “Australia have shown themselves to be a cut above their 2nd tier asian counterparts. Uzbekistan have come off 2 terrible losses and aren't up to the Australian class.”
Members were advised to take the Socceroos in the ‘Win – Draw no bet’ market and were not disappointed.
This Australian class was on display early as defender Scott Chipperfield fired off a superb header to put the visitors in front 1-0 in the 26th minute.
This 1-0 lead should have been extended to 2-0 just before half time as Harry Kewell brilliantly set up Mark Bresciano with a free shot on goal, however Bresciano missed the net and the visitors went to the break enjoying a 1-0 lead.
The Uzbeks came out firing in the second half but the Australian defence was resilient, with no goals scored in the second half to leave Australia with three points for the away win.

Ole! Argentina win gold.
24/8/08
BetBuddha members backed Argentina to win back to back gold medals in the mens Olympic football on the weekend, with Argentina defeating Nigeria 1-0.
Argentina’s strong midfield and composure throughout the competition had them installed as favourites, but BetBuddha members were surprised to see them at odds of $1.80 with Betfair and Centrebet. Members were advised to snap up these odds when they were on offer and were duly rewarded with a strong win.
Lionel Messi led the Argentineans throughout the competition and starred in the gold medal match, setting up Angel Di Maria to score the only goal of the match in the 58th minute.

BetBuddha members do it easy with China’s big start
13/8/08
Day 4 of the Beijing games and BetBuddha members had their 4th Olympic winner, this time in the Men’s basketball.
BetBuddha members were advised to take the 22.5 points start the home nation team had against Spain, sighting home court advantage and the lazy attitude of the Spanish against lesser teams as a major influence on this match.
China dominated Spain at every quarter, and half way through the third quarter were in front by 15 points. Spain managed to fight back in the last quarter to win the match, but the result for BetBuddha members was never in doubt with the huge 22.5 point handicap the Chinese were given ensuring our members were counting their cash a long way from home!

BetBuddha members get home in a thriller!
12/8/08
Day 3 of the Beijing games saw BetBuddha members profit again, with the Women’s basketball match up between Latvia and Belarus.
Noticing the lack of firepower both teams had in offence, and the low percentage of conversion shots from the court, members were advised to bet on the total match points line of under 141.5.
In a tight contest between two basketball minnows, BetBuddha members got the cash again with the final score 80 – 57.
BetBuddha members raid the bookies in the NRL.
9/08/08
Following up from BetBuddha’s exclusive interview with Duncan McRae, members jumped on the Melbourne Storm to defeat Manly in the biggest clash of the NRL season to date.
In the interview that can be seen here, Duncan talks about the betting activity with Sportingbet leading into the NRL finals.
In the Friday night clash between the competition heavyweights, Melbourne were over the odds at $1.70 to win and members were advised to take up these odds while they could. Within one hour of the bet being advised, the price had been crunched into $1.60 with leading bookmakers!
Melbourne got home in a gritty 16-10 win, and members started their weekend off on the right foot.
